When Thyroid Hormone Levels Deteriorate

Iodized salt help to decrease the occurrence of goiter and swelling in thyroid gland. Iodine content in iodized salt is 71mcg of iodine. It is helpful to treat high blood pressure.

Paneer:

It is the richest source of iodine in dairy products. Iodine is found in this seafood – two varieties of cheese – Cheddar and Mozzarella. The amount of iodine is varied on different types of cheese. Cottage cheese contains 65mcg while cheddar cheese contains 12mcg of iodine.

Seaweed:

Iodine is found in this seafood. It is best natural source of iodine. This is the most rich cidasource of calp iodine. It is mainly 3 types of seaweed. Seaweed is a good source of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals.

Eggs:

Egg yolk contains iodine. Eggs provide a lean sources of protein and healthy fats. So that eggs are also good sources of iodine. One large content contains 24mcg  of iodine.

Milk:

Studies show that 250 ml of milk contains about 150 micrograms of iodine. It is the major source of iodine. One cup of milk contain 52-112% of iodine.

Yogurt:

One cup of yogurt contains about 70 micrograms of iodine, that is, half the daily requirement.  It is also good for the stomach and is rich in calcium and protein.  Apart from these foods, there are some other good sources of iodine – bananas.  Strawberries, green leafy vegetables, onions, and sweet potatoes, grains, nuts and peanuts, barley, etc.  There is seafood.

Lima Beans:

Lima beans are a better choice to keep the heart-healthy. It contains fiber, magnesium, and folate. It is maesured that one cup of lima beans contains 16mcg of iodine or 10% of the daily value. They are also good sources for vegan. The amount of iodine can vary in fruits and vegetables.

Shrimp:

It is a good source of iodine. It is protein-rich and low-calorie seafood. It provides us with vitamin B12 and phosphorous and other nutrients. Three ounces of shrimp contain 35mcg of iodine.
